Senior Project Executive, Standards Development

JOB DESCRIPTION

Company Overview

IES - Standards Development Organisation actively engages our members, industry partners and stakeholders in the development, promotion and adoption of Singapore Standards for the railway systems community in Singapore.

 

Responsibilities

As a member of the National Standardisation Programme, you will work closely with industry partners from government agencies, institutions of higher learning, professional bodies, industry associations and related stakeholders to identify, develop and promote standards to support the Singapore rail industry. 


Job Scope

  • Provide project leadership and is responsible for overall project performance;
  • Formulate timeframe for the completion of projects;
  • Arrange and prepare agenda / minutes of meeting, compiling reports, etc;
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, responsible for the planning and project execution – monitor the progress of the project and ensure that the project is on schedule;
  • Prepare, track, manage project deliverables based on requirements and scope;
  • Provide secretariat support including the drafting of standards;
  • Engage standards partners and external agencies in standards development work;
  • Organise and manage promotional events; and
  • Collate information, data and feedback for standards development related activities.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Preferably with at least two (2) years of relevant work experience (in rail sector preferred), though what is most important is a passion for quality and standards, and the desire to contribute;
  • Good writing and communication skills; 
  • Ability to think critically and possess good interpersonal skills to work well with standards partners;
  • Ability to work independently and is a team player; and
  • Project management experience and good IT skills are advantageous.
