TÜV Rheinland and NETEC Announce Technical Cooperation to Support Lift Landing Door Compliance for Singapore Market

Share

TÜV Rheinland, a leading global independent testing, inspection, and certification provider, has formalised a cooperation agreement with the National Elevator Inspection and Testing Centre (NETEC). The strategic partnership, signed at a ceremony in Langfang, Hebei Province, establishes a coordinated framework for lift landing door testing to serve the Singapore market.

Under the agreement, TÜV Rheinland will leverage NETEC’s accredited fire prevention laboratory to conduct testing for fire-rated lift landing doors in accordance with standards BS 476-22 and EN 81-58. While NETEC provides the testing services, TÜV Rheinland retains full responsibility for the independent review and issuance of Certificates of Compliance (CoC) under its accredited scope.

This collaboration is strategically aligned with TÜV Rheinland’s role as an approved certification body under the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Product Listing Scheme (PLS) for fire safety products, including lift landing doors listed under SCDF Table 11A.

The partnership is designed to provide a seamless pathway for manufacturers navigating Singapore’s stringent fire safety regulations. Both organizations emphasize a clear, efficient process from testing to certification, underpinned by a strict separation of roles to ensure impartiality and the integrity of the certification.
