Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. has entered into an investment agreement with Truong Thanh Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company (TTVN) and Truong Thanh Energy Joint Stock Company to acquire a stake in Truong Thanh Duyen Hai Wind Power Joint Stock Company.

This strategic investment grants Tokyo Gas a role in a significant nearshore wind power expansion project in Vietnam’s Vinh Long Province. The project will double the capacity of TTVN’s existing wind farm, which has been operational since 2021 with 48,000 kW, by adding a further 48,000 kW.

A comprehensive feasibility study assessing economic and technical factors will be conducted within the year, with a final investment decision targeted for 2026.

This initiative directly supports the Tokyo Gas Group’s management vision, “Compass 2030,” and its ambitious goal of achieving net-zero CO2 emissions by expanding its presence in the global renewable energy sector. [Source: Tokyo Gas]
