A milestone afternoon of reflection, renewal, and leadership at the 60th IES Annual General Meeting!

Held today (23 May 2026) at the IES Auditorium, the 60th AGM gathered nearly 120 members to celebrate the institution’s achievements over the past two years and chart a visionary path forward for Singapore’s engineering community.

The afternoon marked a historic transition as Er. Chan Ewe Jin officially handed over the IES Presidency to Mr Mervyn Sirisena, who was inaugurated as our 31st President. In his inaugural address, Mr Sirisena outlined his vision for a more connected, future-ready, and member-centric institution dedicated to uplifting and empowering engineers across generations.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Er. Chan Ewe Jin for his dedicated leadership and invaluable contributions throughout his tenure, and offer our warmest congratulations to Mr Mervyn Sirisena as he steps into this new chapter.
