SIA Engineering to Launch Operations at Ninoy Aquino International Airport

Share

SIA Engineering (Philippines) Corporation (SIAEP), the local subsidiary of Singapore-based SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC), is set to begin operations at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) by September 2025.

The move marks an expansion of SIAEP’s presence in the Philippines, where it already operates a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility in Clark.

SIAEC, one of the largest MRO providers in the Asia-Pacific region and majority-owned by the Singapore Airlines Group, supports a wide network of global carriers.

According to New NAIA Infra Corp (NNIC) President and CEO Ramon S. Ang, the entry of SIAEP is expected to improve technical support for airlines operating at the airport and help reduce aircraft turnaround times.

The new operation is also projected to contribute to skills development, job creation, and knowledge transfer within the Philippine aerospace sector. In addition, other international MRO firms have reportedly expressed interest in establishing operations at NAIA, potentially increasing service quality and efficiency through market competition.
