The IES Academy and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) are proud to celebrate the graduation of the first cohort from the Graduate Certificate in Sustainability Principles and Practices programme on June 5.

This pioneering programme serves as a vital pathway for engineers aiming to achieve the IES Chartered Engineer (Sustainability) certification—a key step in shaping the future of our industry.

The ceremony was marked by inspiring insights from industry leaders:
🔹 WFEO President and IES Emeritus President, Er. Dr Tan Seng Chuan, shared on the global shift toward sustainability and how this partnership empowers our graduates to lead the charge.
🔹 Dr Harry Lim (Vice President of IES & Chairman of Systems Sector, CEB) highlighted the engineer’s critical role in turning net-zero goals into practical, innovative solutions.
🔹 A heartfelt experience sharing from our graduates, Edna and Marc, and closing remark by A/Prof Ethan Chong (SIT).
