The IES Energy Technical Committee organised a landmark visit on 12 November 2025, granting 16 IES members exclusive access to SP Group’s Underground Cable Tunnel (UCT) Network. As the first visitors ever to enter this critical national infrastructure, the group explored the 6-metre diameter tunnels located 60 metres underground—gaining unique insight into Singapore’s “high voltage transmission cables highway.
