| The Singapore Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal By Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG) |
| Singapore LNG Terminal is the country’s first open-access, multi-user LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Terminal; and a key national infrastructure that supports Singapore’s energy diversification strategy and future economic development in the energy sector. The Terminal was built to best engineering standards and includes a number of technological innovations including three stage boil-off gas compressors, LNG reloading facilities and fully certified state of the art safety instrumented systems. This nationally critical project, costing SGD 1.7 billion, was delivered on time, within budget and without any loss time injury in 15 million manhours by a careful blend of the best of local Singaporean talent, international LNG experts and experienced contractors. |

| Institute for Infocomm Research and Power Automation jointly developed and deployed TV White Space (TVWS) technology, a new paradigm for accessing underutilized and precious frequency spectrum for wireless communication. TVWS devices, with small form factor and low power consumption, was deployed for smart metering, wireless backhaul, rural connectivity, video surveillance in Gardens by the Bay, NUS and other parts of Singapore as well as in The Philippines and Taiwan. This important achievement puts Singapore in a worldwide leadership position in TVWS deployment and indirectly supports Singapore as the 2nd nation, after USA, to have TVWS regulated. |
