For this year, the IES Environment and Water Engineering TC and Environmental & Water Technologies Centre of Innovation (EWTCOI) is co-organising the webinar on Emerging Technologies in the Water Sector.
The Environmental & Water Technologies Centre of Innovation (EWTCOI) is an on-going joint collaboration between Enterprise Singapore and Ngee Ann Polytechnic since 2006. For this webinar, IES and the EWTCOI are actively engaging the industry to understand the current challenges and work with companies to develop sustainable solutions that meet their needs. This understanding of the industry challenges has also been the impetus to research for better technologies that can partner with industry. These technologies will be presented in this webinar to highlight some of the emerging technologies for water management.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dr Jason Tang is the Director for the Environmental and Water Technology Centre of Innovation, a technology development Centre within Ngee Ann Polytechnic that engages industry in consultancy projects.
Dr Tang joined EWTCOI in 2008 and has worked on projects ranging from proof of concept to development and deployment in a wide variety of applications and industries. He recently led his team in 2020 to secure a new tranche of funding from ESG (Enterprise Singapore) to support local companies in their innovation journey.
Dr Sowrirajalu Bhuvana is the Senior Manager for Technology at EWTCOI specializes in new material based membrane development, membrane based processes for various applications such as water treatment, waste volume reduction, solvent recovery, air filtration, etc.
She also possesses expertise in bio-nanocomposites and nanomaterial based product development and has helped many companies to develop and apply membranes for specific applications.
Dr Bhuvana holds a PhD in Applied Chemistry and has authored more than 20 refereed articles and patents.
Dr Yan Xiaoli is the Assistant Director for CET and Tech Development at EWTCOI. She leads Water Technology team to provide consultancy services for local industries in the area of water and wastewater treatment and recycling. They work closely with industrial collaborators on development, feasibility study and evaluation of new water technologies.
Dr Yan holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and has published more than 30 research papers with over thousand citations.
IES reserves the full rights to cancel or postpone the Event under such circumstances without prior reasons. And/or due to unforeseen circumstances. Every effort, however, will be made to inform the participants or contact person of any cancellation or postponement. Fees will be refunded in FULL if any Event is cancelled by IES.
