Course Date: 5th , 7th , 8th & 15 Dec 2022
Introduction
This course is targeted at the junior engineers and technical staff who are or will be actively assisting QECP in ECM design and maintenance works.
This course will get the participants to understand the basics of erosion and sedimentation controls measures, or in short, Earth Control Measure (ECM), to reduce the amount of total suspense solids in water runoff from construction site. Participants will learnt how to quantify amount of erosion under the design rain storm, as well as how to minimum the erosion. Various measures to enhance sediment control will also be covered. At the end of the course, the participants will be able to develop an ECM plan for typical construction sites with best management Practices (BMP) including maintenance.
Objectives
· To enable the participants to understand the basics of ECM plan design.
· To enable the participants be calculate soil loss.
· To enable the participants to design appropriate erosion and sedimentation control systems.
· To enable the participants to develop effective ECM Plan.
· To enable the participants to develop maintenance checklist and schedule.
Target Audience
Construction site engineers, design engineers, stakeholders in construction sites.

** Only participant/s completed and pass the IES/ACES Professional course on Erosion Control course is invited to join the QECP Professional Registry
