The sixth biennial World Engineers Summit (WES) 2023 concluded on 10th Nov at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre where over 700 regional and international delegates and participants came together for enriching engineering-centric discussions and insights on sustainable development, shared by notable plenary speakers with exclusive technical site visits to Danfoss Singapore, Emerson Solutions Centre, and Sembcorp Tengeh Floating Solar Farm. Themed “Engineering for A Sustainable Future”, the summit featured keynote addresses from prominent experts and leaders as well as discussions across six curated tracks, along with the debut China Engineers Forum! Students showcase and cutting-edge exhibits were also on-site to encourage collaboration and networking among attendees. Guest-of-Honor Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Singapore, Mr Teo Chee Hean graced the event and delivered the opening speech to the participants highlighting the three core characteristics of engineering – Inspiration, Innovation and Implementation – when combined together, brings about solutions to overcome the challenges of sustainability and climate change.
