ICYMI: IES 53rd Annual Dinner, 10 Oct (Thu), Shangri-La Hotel

In case you missed it, here're some highlights from our 53rd Annual Dinner, which happened last night at Shangri-La Hotel.

We conferred DPM Heng Swee Keat, the guest-of-honour, the title of IES Distinguished Honorary Patron. Mr Ng Chee Meng, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Secretary-General of NTUC, was made a Honorary Fellow of the Institution. We also launched the Railway Standards Initiative, the Railway Systems Handbook, the IES Incubator and Accelerator (IES-INCA), and signed an MOU with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

The Lifetime Engineering Achievement Award went to Er. Tan Ee Ping, while the IES-IEEE Medal of Excellence was awarded to Er. Lee Chuan Seng. Lastly, we presented the IES-Yayasan Mendaki Scholarship Awards to two deserving students from Temasek Polytechnic and NUS, Mr Wan Muhammad Ismail bin Wan Mahmood and Mr Shiek Abdullah Abdul Arshath.
