Power & Energy Interest Group

Power and Energy Interest Group will focus on the various technologies and applications of energy. This will include: - Traditional energy sources (such as those from coal, oil and gas and also include energy from alternative renewable sources).
- Transmission and distribution, including the application of advanced power concepts such as distributed generation, demand-side management and Smart Grids.
The group will gather and disseminate new knowledge on the efficient and proper use of energy, with an overarching goal of understanding how energy can be optimized.
Objectives - To disseminate knowledge relating to Power and Energy
- To generate interest among engineers in the field of Power and Energy
- To update engineers on the latest technologies in Power and Energy
Activities
- To create opportunities for members to share information relating to Power and Energy
- To organize seminars, visits and courses on the technology and applications relating to Power and Energy
