Introduction The awareness of Clean Energy has gained momentum in recent years and many organisations have shown keen interest and invested in this area. The adoption of Clean Energy will compliment the use of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and gas. Clean Energy is also referred to as Renewable Energy or Alternative Energy. Its role is becoming increasingly important as many countries place a greater emphasis on the creation of a clean environment and the reduction of green-house gases. Objectives To create awareness amongst engineers of the importance of Clean Energy To encourage the study of the technology of Clean Energy To investigate the role and opportunities of such technology in Singapore and overseas.
